He knows
This is NOT about Corona, painted in 2019.
Putin knows about the issues of his country. He knows about the widespread corruption. He knows his army was involved in the Ukrainian war. He knows Navalny is innocent. He knows gays are being beaten in the streets. He knows about the thousands of people still dying from Tuberculosis. And he knows that you know, but he doesn't care. He has got himself covered, and everybody has to keep quiet. The biggest problem of Russia is the lack of freedom of speech.

"Compressionism" is a new painting style, based on a bad connection. It combines old impressionist painting with a new (but rapidly fading) phenomenon of heavily distorted chat images due to slow internet. All images are snapshots of my own long distance relationship with Russian artist Paulina Siniatkina.
